Tech news from newsrooms worldwide
DigiVona brings together the technology stories that newsrooms around the world publish, and sends you to them.
How DigiVona works
Every 30 minutes DigiVona checks the public news feeds of 38 technology newsrooms in 9 countries. New stories appear with their headline, a short excerpt from the publisher's own feed, the newsroom's name and a link to the original article. The reporting belongs to its publishers, and every card takes you there.
When several newsrooms report the same story, DigiVona groups their articles together, so you can see who covered it and read each version. Stories are sorted into ten topics, from AI to gaming, by matching their words against a published keyword list; nobody edits or rewrites them.
A few publishers license their work for republication. Articles from Global Voices (CC BY 3.0), the Electronic Frontier Foundation (CC BY 4.0) and NASA (a US government work) appear in full on DigiVona, with the licence, the author and a link to the original at the top of each article.
DigiVona Originals are written by the DigiVona team and are marked as such.
What DigiVona does not do
- It does not copy articles from publishers that have not licensed them. Link-out stories show only the headline and the excerpt from the publisher's feed.
- It does not use AI to rewrite or summarise other newsrooms' reporting.
- It sets no tracking cookies and runs no analytics script. Reading counts are anonymous totals per story (see the privacy policy).
For publishers: DigiVonaBot
DigiVona fetches feeds with the user agent DigiVonaBot/1.0 (+https://digivona.com/about#bot).
- It requests only the public RSS or Atom feed of each newsroom, at most once every 30 minutes, with conditional requests (
If-None-Match,If-Modified-Since), and never crawls article pages. - It reads
robots.txtonce a day and does not fetch a feed that it disallows forDigiVonaBotor for all agents. - Images are never downloaded or stored. When a feed includes an image, readers' browsers load it from the publisher's own server.
- To stop DigiVona from showing your stories, disallow your feed for
DigiVonaBotinrobots.txt, or write to removals@digivona.com. We act on requests within 24 hours; see the corrections and removals policy.
